I hit a pothole hard in my new car, blew a tire, and bent the rim. I was devastated, but Dewey's worked extremely hard to get it back to me the next day. I LOVE how they updated me, and had a level of honesty that isn't commonplace these days. I feel they genuinely care about the work they do.
I called to make an appointment to bring my car in. When I brought it in they explained what they found wrong and what had to be done to make it right. They performed the work on time. The entire staff is personable and honest.
I have had work done at Deweys in Fenton on numerous occasions and the pricing is reasonable and the work is great. On one occasion...5 months after the original work was done...a issue came up. They not only got the vehicle in right away, they fixed the problem and at no cost and did it with a smile. I’ve had work done at a local dealership, the cost was way out of line, the work was questionable and when I bought it back for the same issue I was told it was not related!!!!! I took it to DEWEY’S and will continue to have all my work done at DEWEY’S.

Carl, Thank you for your great review we try very hard to be the best tire and service shop in the area and we appreciate when customers like you let us know that they had a good experience when they visit our shop! We will see you on your next visit!
I have utilized Deweys twice. First time went okay, even though I felt the price was a bit high, I needed to have my truck fixed, and they did so. Second time was not so good. We took my daughter's 2012 Escape to them for some front end noise. They diagnosed the issue as requiring front brakes, wheel hubs and wheel bearings. They gave us a price of approximately $1700. Even though it seemed like a lot of money, we decided it was better than buying another vehicle. After they started, they called again and said it required more parts, and raised the cost to over $2000. Again, we figured better than buying another vehicle. $2100+ later, we picked up the vehicle. Short time later - 2 months - we hear strange noises, and decide to take it to a different garage. They look at it for less than an hour, and tell us the vehicle is "unsafe to drive", due to rust, and they cannot repair the issues. So Deweys charged us $2100+ for repairs on a vehicle that was unsafe to drive - and never said anything about it. They are either incompetent for not noticing, or simply greedy for charging us for repairs that should not have been performed. Never again.
I am sorry that your visit to our shop didn't go as well as you expected. I have reached out to via telephone and look forward to a conversation about your visit. After reviewing your work order I saw that your vehicle was towed in for noise in the front end, the last week of December 2022, we completed some significant front end repairs including tie rods, loaded front steering knuckles, front brake pads and rotors. all followed by a wheel alignment. The reason that we had to do Loaded steering knuckles instead of just a wheel bearing was due to the large amount of corrosion (rust) on the underbody of your vehicle, by doing these loaded knuckles the part price did increase but the labor time became a little less. Your vehicle was finished and returned to you on January 4, 2023 approx. 6 months ago the total was less than the $2100.00 you state. We had not heard from you since so we were under the impression that the work that was completed was satisfactory to repairing your complaint of noise in the front end. We take pride in what we do and if there is a problem, we always stand behind our work. We also are very clear with our customers if we notice something that would cause a vehicle to be unsafe or at the end of its useful life. If we come across something like that in the course of checking out the customer's specific complaint, we always stop and advise the customer. I would be happy to put you in contact with several other customers that have had that conversation with us. I would like the opportunity to find out what happened to your vehicle and see what the other shop is noticing, if nothing else we can learn and try to make sure that you or anyone else doesn't have the same feeling you have going forward. We haven't had the opportunity to try and make things right with you if in fact it is something we missed, so I ask that you reach out so we can have that conversation. Again, I apologize for your negative experience and hope that we can live up to expectations if we ever have the opportunity again. Nick
